Roseglow is feeling so much better today! Sheโs passed more manure and the impaction has lessened in size considerably. The NG tube has been removed, and the staff at the clinic has been hand-grazing her to reintroduce her to eating/digestion.

She is visibly smaller (yay!) and is nonstop foraging around the stall, trying to sneak bits through her grazing muzzle, which is wonderful to see! However, with her drastic decrease in caloric intake, her milk supply is very low. Prim has had a supplemental diet to ensure her nutritional needs are being met.
Fortunately Prim has taken to the milk replacer and the pellets seamlessly, and continues to nurse as well. Best of both worlds! She is bright, curious and happy.
