Lorianna – 2016 KWPN Dutch Harness Horse mare
Sir Arie x Glorianda J (Atleet)
Lorianna came home from her very first Combined Driving Event a winner, putting in a solid dressage test, a double clear cones round and winning 3 of 4 hazards on her way to being named the Training Single Horse Champion at the 2020 Kentucky Classic at Hermitage Farm. Her performance was doubly impressive considering she had never performed a dressage test or been on a marathon before, only hauling off the farm twice prior to the event for training opportunities. The new USEF Training Level driven dressage test asks for a lengthened trot, which is new to the level, and “Lola” stepped up to the challenge
Lola is an eye-catching mare with plenty of chrome, well-proportioned and a great size for driving. She gave us a preview of what we can expect as she develops and matures – handling the new environment like an old pro, showing handiness and adjustability in cones and an eagerness to seek the next challenge on the marathon.
The future looks bright for Lola, and in addition to becoming a top-notch competitor she would be an incredible addition to a quality KWPN breeding program. Not only providing a great outcross with her Hackney Horse sire, Lola is out of a Ster KWPN mare and boasts several Ster, Keur and Preferent names in her dam line.
Lola is uncomplicated to drive and goes in a simple Neue Schule snaffle for all three phases. She has had a rider on her once (the weekend after the CDE) and was unfazed. She stands quietly crosstied/tied, to bathe, clip, tack and for the farrier, loads and hauls quietly, and is a pleasure to work around. She has a Lifetime USEF Horse Registration and is microchipped.
Lorianna is priced at $35,000 negotiable to a competition home.
