ROSEGLOW – American Saddlebred mare
(SA) Calif First Night Out x Roses Wild by Kalarama’s All Time High
Roseglow was an outstanding combination of stellar South African bloodlines and proven Kalarama bloodlines. She was to be the foundation mare of Waypoint Farm’s crossbred lines. She was young, beautiful, smart, easy to work around, and everyone’s favorite. We lost her to complications of colic the morning of June 5, 2020, after 24 days of fighting for her life.
Her sire, (SA) Calif First Night Out, was a World Champion and Reserve World Champion five gaited horse and has sired multiple WC and RWC performers. Her bottom line went to Harlem Globetrotter twice and the great New Yorker three times, with BHF mares Putting On Airs and Look of Love appeared three times as well.
Roseglow left us with two beautiful black fillies to carry on her legacy. Her first, Olenna WF, was foaled May 21, 2019, and her last, Primrose WF, was foaled May 11, 2020. Both fillies are by our KWPN DHH stallion, Vanando A. While Olenna more strongly favors her sire, Prim so favors her dam that it routinely takes my breath away.
