Roseglow 6/2 – another setback

Roseglow has been fighting so hard. It broke my heart this afternoon to visit and learn that she spiked a fever around 3:00, along with an elevated heart rate. Her colon isn’t working correctly right now – the colon walls are thickened and seem to need some more TLC, for lack of a clearer explanation. Sorry folks. I’m pretty fried after 3 weeks.

Sterling and I spent some time with her, grooming and talking and hands-on. Prim circled like a little attention shark, as if she’s had any shortage of attention and loving! They were outside this morning, and while Roseglow walked and nibbled some grass, Prim was showing off her airs above the ground.

It has been a long 3 weeks, with many ups and downs. We are in this with our beautiful mare as long as she tells us she’s still in it too. Looks like we still have another mountain to climb.

  1. Oh no! Kim I’m so sorry to hear this news. We will be praying for her. It’s heartbreaking to see them start to get better and then have a setback.
